It would be boring if they were all the same. I put two hanging pots of purslane on the front porch of my very first house many, mnay years ago. The bees swarmed them all day long, and all guests were buzzed when they visited. Within a couple of years, we had more purslane in our lawn than grass. Too bad I didn't know that it was edible! ; )Floridagirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16357453320897720393noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2836490010489735549.post-78916803647906228062010-03-31T15:08:16.134-10:002010-03-31T15:08:16.134-10:00BTW, forgot to mention that "edible" par...BTW, forgot to mention that "edible" part is what I did not know. I don't like the double-flowered versions that are sold in the nurseries, but the classic single-flowered ones which get harder and harder to find every year. (Here it's grown as an annual.) My favorite part is the tiny little star among the stamens at the flower's heart.

It sounds so exotic and wonderful to me that Nature dropped this *wild* into a lava pocket on your property.
